It’s now been two months since the release of Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 14 for the Sony PlayStation 3 and Microsoft Xbox 360—though, with recent announcements like the reveal of the Microsoft Xbox One and EA SPORTS IGNITE game engine for next-generation sports gaming, it seems like it’s been longer than that—and the staff of Under The Code wanted to revisit this year’s golf simulation with an “Update Roundtable” asking some questions about the title. Read on to find out where our staff stands on the game after a few months of having it in their consoles!
1. Are you still playing Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 14? If yes, what mode have you spent the most time playing? If not, what has turned you off from the game?
Buckeye: Oh yes, I get in a round or two a week. I have been playing Career mode mostly and if that gets stale I go to Legends of the Majors for some quick fun.
cccgolfer08: Yes, I am playing the game a few times a week when I get a couple of hours to myself. When I jump on the game, I am playing about 90% Simulation difficulty and about 10% Amateur difficulty. I have been sticking to the Connected Tournaments and my own Country Club tournaments for the most part.
Oblong: Still playing Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 14 pretty much every day. I enjoy getting up in the morning and having a round or 2 either with a friend online or playing one of the Connected Tournaments. My country club is running a season also so I always have a wealth of private tournaments to participate in.
Paakaa10: If I’m being totally honest, I haven’t really sat down and had a significant play session with Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 14 for a while. When the game first came out, I sank a good deal of time into it, mainly playing my created golfer’s career and playing at Augusta National the weekend of The Masters Tournament. As time wore on, however, the game started to take a back seat to other games; even games like FIFA 13 and NHL 13 that have been out for a while and weren’t as fresh to me. I still think the game is a great installment in the history of the franchise; it just hasn’t been something that demands that I play it.
ThatSportsGamer: I’ve rarely played Tiger over the past few weeks. I think the reason is, for me, playing Tiger is really impulse driven. I barely see anyone on my friends list playing, and because of that, I never think to throw it in. If you want to play with me on Xbox 360, feel free to hit me up on twitter @ThatSportsGamer so we can play a round.
